Dermal and Facial Fillers

Cost

This is dependent on how much filler material is used, but on average most common treatments cost between £290-450.

There are always special promotions from time to time and these prices are subject to variation.

There are many different brands of fillers but they are mainly based on hyaluronic acid. These products are highly biocompatible and are slowly absorbed. They can be injected into the entire face, neckline, neck and hands. No pre-testing is required, they have no known allergic reactions.

The most popular brands are Juvederm, Restylane and Teosyal. Different products are used for different procedures.

Naturally present in the skin, hyaluronic acid preserves moisturising levels in the skin and boosts tone. The quantity of hyaluronic acid in the skin (dermis) decreases with age. As a result the skin dries out and becomes fragile with the appearance of wrinkles. The tissues progressively sag and the face becomes hollow. Injected into the dermis fillers effectively alleviate this hyaluronic acid deficiency thanks to their high hyaluronic acid concentration. They revitalise and rehydrate the skin, fill in wrinkles and fine lines, add volume and definition to lips and remodel and soften facial contours.

Side effects are injection-related such as swelling, redness, pain, itching and tenderness. These usually resolve after a few days but may take up to a week with lip augmentation.

Numbing cream or injections are usually given in the area requiring treatment to make the procedure as comfortable as possible. They are injected directly into the wrinkle: they lift and instantly fill the lines by virtue of the volume they create. Right from the first injection, the wrinkle is markedly and visibly reduced. Cracks in the skin are repaired. They are injected directly into the zones where the tissues relax, thus creating an immediate tightening and volume-enhancing effect. As a result of this lifting effect, fillers offer a real alternative to plastic surgery when skin relaxation is not too advanced, by redefining the facial contours.

Depending on your age and the structure of your face, 1 to 3 initial sessions will be needed in order to achieve the desired effect, which is evident immediately following the first treatment session. The injection sessions have a real, cumulative effect. Regular maintenance sessions will use less product to maintain your result.

Remodel the cheekbones and soften the facial contours. Fill in wrinkles and fine lines. Increase and remodel the volume of the lips, moisturizing them at the same time. Revitalize and rehydrate the skin. Prevent the onset of wrinkles and fine lines, even in the most delicate of areas, such as the neck and neckline.

How long will it last?

Fillers are completely broken down within the skin over a period of months, eventually leaving no trace of the filler.

Like many treatments that are carried out to the body, results do vary and some treatments will last longer than others. Most treatments do last between 9-12 months, at which time the fillers will need to be re-applied.
